User Management
Inviting teammates to your account, and what each role can do.
1. Roles
Section titled “1. Roles”| Owner | Admin | Editor | Viewer | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| View everything | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Manage projects, devices, sensors, automations | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ | |
| Invite and manage members | ✅ | ✅ |
Owner is set when your account is created and isn’t assignable from the members page — everyone you invite gets Admin, Editor, or Viewer.
2. Inviting a member
Section titled “2. Inviting a member”From Settings → Members, Invite Member asks for an email, full name, and role. You can only grant roles at or below your own — an Owner can invite Admins, Editors, or Viewers; an Admin can invite Editors or Viewers.
How the new member signs in mirrors how you sign in: either they’ll get an email to log in, or you’ll be shown a one-time password to share with them securely — it’s shown once and can’t be retrieved again.
If you invite an email that belonged to a previously removed member, you’ll be offered the option to restore that account instead of creating a new one.
3. Managing members
Section titled “3. Managing members”From the members list you can edit a member’s name or role (the same at-or-below-your-own-role restriction applies), or deactivate them without removing them outright. Removing a member takes effect on their next login attempt. You can’t remove your own account from this page.
4. Signing in
Section titled “4. Signing in”There’s no separate profile or password page — signing in is handled entirely through the email flow set up when you or your teammate were invited.
